Session Description
Are you new to American Sign Language? Do you want to learn how to better interact with your Deaf friends and family? Are you interested in acquiring a skill that will allow you to communicate with the Deaf community in any setting? Join us for our introductory ASL class! This class is designed for novice students who have little or no experience with ASL. You will learn basic vocabulary and phrases that will help get you started on the path towards true fluency! In Level 1, the topics that we will cover are: Introduction to Deaf Culture, fingerspelling, numbers, describing people, sharing information about your hobbies, pets, family, and ASL pronouns. You will also learn how to ask questions and have a conversational dialogue in ASL! *Important notice: Classes may be subject to cancellation if admission is too low. You will be contacted prior to the start date if this is the case and be given options for re-scheduling or a refund. Please reach out with any questions regarding our cancellation policy.
