ASL Interpreter Lab

Join us for our 1st Interpreter Lab on February 8th, 2025 from 12-3pm. This lab will give you an opportunity to practice your receptive and productive interpreting skills with your peers and other interpreting professionals. Your lab leaders, Kaylee and Bre, will guide you through content in both English and ASL.

The first hour will be devoted to interpreting a video from English into ASL. We will divide you into pairs, where you will each take a turn interpreting “cold” content. There will be time for peer feedback with your partner before we reconvene and have a full group discussion. Then, we will repeat the same process focusing on interpreting content from ASL to English.
